Imperial Esports: Overview – Place Your Bets on Imperial Esports

Imperial Esports (Imperial) is an eSports organization from Brazil. After originally starting out with a CrossFire roster, Imperial Esports has since ventured into new game titles. This includes Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Valorant. Over the years, they’ve signed a large number of players to their rosters, which has led to them gaining recognition on the world stage.

Interestingly, all of the players that Imperial Esports have signed during their history are Brazilian. Why? Because the organization is intent on finding the best Brazilian talent around to represent them in CS: GO and Valorant. There’s also been a specific focus on signing veteran players – such as FalleN and VINI – in order to add balance to the team and provide guidance to younger players.

Imperial Esports History: 2018 – Now

Imperial Esports first entered the Esports scene in 2018. Almost immediately, their attention shifted towards CS: GO. But rather than sign individual players from scratch, they created a CS: GO roster by acquiring the CS: GO team from Santos e-Sports, another Brazilian eSports team.

2019 saw Imperial eSports introduce a small Imperial Esports Female CS:GO roster consisting of Ana “AnnaEX” Carolina Brito and Letícia “Le^” Lima. The Imperial Esports Female roster then disbanded towards the end of 2019. In 2020, Imperial decided to create a Valorant roster, too. The team then competed in various qualifiers and tournaments from 2020 to 2021, including First Strike Brazil and the Chroma Cup #4.

During its existence, Imperial Esports has competed in 49 CS: GO tournaments, achieving relative success along the way. Most notably, they experienced a peak viewership number of 1,061,032 at PGL Major Antwerp (2022), which saw them finish in a respectable 11th place. After PGL Major Antwerp (2022), several changes to the roster took place. For instance, “peacemaker” departed from the group due to internal issues that were not publicly disclosed.

Towards the end of 2022, Imperial managed to reach the final 24-team IEM Rio Major (2022). However, Imperial was eliminated in the first phase after struggling to get the results needed. Moving into the future, the plan for Imperial is to continue competing in tournaments, attract greater Brazilian talent, and ultimately make it to the finals of some big tournaments. Fans can stay up to date with Imperial by following the team’s official Instagram and Twitter pages.

Imperial Esports: Divisions, Games, Rosters

As discussed in the overview of Imperial eSports, the main outlets for the organization are CS: GO and Valorant. Let’s take a look at both of the active rosters today.

CS:GO

Firstly, Imperial eSports CSGO. This is seen as Imperial’s most robust roster. After undergoing changes in recent years, it’s now looking stronger than ever.

Rafael “zakk” Fernandes (Coach)

“zakk” is an experienced former CS: GO player now turned coach. He’s been a coach since 2016 and knows what it takes to win on the big stage. After signing for Imperial at the beginning of 2023, he has yet to make his debut. The signs are great, though, as his last outing as a coach was at FiReLEAGUE (2021), where he coached 9z Team to a 1st place finish.

Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo

“FalleN” is widely regarded as one of – if not the – best Brazilian eSports players of all time. He has an incredible influence throughout Brazil and has been credited by many eSports players today as the influence behind them going pro. With over 1.2 million followers on Twitter and a passionate fanbase, “FalleN” is a true CS: GO legend. For the foreseeable future, he will remain the in-game leader for Imperial.

Ricardo “boltz” Prass

Since 2013, “boltz” has played for over 10 different eSports teams, making him a highly experienced player in the field. When it comes to pure reliability, he’s an excellent Entry Fragger.

Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo

From 2019 to 2020, “VINI” won a handful of tournaments with his previous team FURIA Esports, including Arctic Invitational 2019 and Elisa Invitational Summer 2021. Now, after joining Imperial in 2022, he’s looking to get some more big wins.

Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes

An experienced Entry Fragger who went pro in 2015.

Jhonatan “JOTA” Willian

An excellent Rifler who was ranked the Best Player of 2021 in Brazil by DRAFT5. During his career, he has earnt lots of 1st place and 2nd place positions in various CS: GO tournaments.

Valorant

Currently, Imperial eSports are without an active Valorant roster after disbanding their last one in 2021. The previous roster consisted of the following:

  • “Tuyz”
  • “rsT”
  • “Biscoit1n”
  • “Evilkyk”
  • “Txddy1”

Because of their focus on CSGO Imperial eSports, it remains unknown when a new Valorant roster will be put together for Imperial.
