HEROIC
Ranked 8th in the HLTV World Rankings, HEROIC is a strong favorite to claim the Thunderpick World Championship title. Despite a devastating 1-3 loss to ENCE at Elisa Masters Espoo, the team maintained a respectable track record at major events this year.
This includes a 3rd-4th place finish at IEM Rio 2024, where they beat G2 Esports, Astralis, and Team Vitality in the Group Stage. While they eventually fell to NAVI in the Semifinals, HEROIC’s recent performance has inspired confidence in their ability to contend with big teams.
The team has maintained this form at TWC 2024, securing convincing wins over Legacy and NiP in the Group Stage before sweeping Fnatic in the Quarterfinals. As they prepare to face OG in the Semifinals, the odds suggest HEROIC will breeze through to the Grand Finals with little resistance.
HEROIC’s roster
- René “TeSeS” Madsen
- Rasmus “sjuush” Beck
- Guy “NertZ” Iluz
- Damjan “kyxsan“ Stoilkovski (IGL)
- Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov
- Eetu “sAw” Saha (Coach)

The Mongolz
The Mongolz stand as close contenders to win this year’s TWC. This comes after an impressive Group Stage, topping Group B with back-to-back 2-0 wins over Cloud9 and Fnatic, including three 13-11 victories in a row. Led by bLitz (1.26 rating), The Mongolz went on to beat Imperial 2-1 in the Quarterfinals.
While the team established regional dominance in the MENA circuit this year, their international results show they’re a team on the rise. They placed 1st at YaLLa Compass, 2nd at Skyesports Championship, and 3rd-4th at Elisa Masters Espoo. Now, they’re just one win away from qualifying for the finals.
The Mongolz’s roster
- Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren (IGL)
- Sodbayar “Techno4K” Munkhbold
- Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch
- Ayush “mzinho” Batbold
- Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold
- Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat (Coach)
3DMAX
3DMAX is our bold pick and a potential dark horse at TWC 2024. They haven’t made a splash at major events this year, but the French squad has found success in tier-2 events, securing 1st place at the Skyesports Championship 2024 and YaLLa Compass Summer.
The team impressed in the TWC Group Stage, sweeping Falcons (featuring stand-in s1mple) and OG 2-0, followed by a hard-fought 2-1 victory over BESTIA in the Quarterfinals. However, 3DMAX’s upcoming match against The MongolZ promises to be their toughest test yet, with their chances diminishing sharply if they end up facing HEROIC in the finals.
3DMAX’s roster
- Lucas “Lucky” Chastang
- Thomas “Djoko” Pavoni
- Pierre “Ex3rcice” Bulinge
- Bryan “Maka” Canda (IGL)
- Filip “Graviti” Branković
- Damien “wasiNk” Dufour (Coach)
