Our Predictions For ESL One Birmingham Playoffs
Need help to place your ESL One Birmingham 2024 betting predictions? We’ve got your back. Here’s our analysis of the top three Dota 2 teams competing at the event (in no particular order). To avoid potential upsets, we focused on teams that proved their mettle during the Group Stage.
Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.
Team Falcons
Team Falcons have a positive outlook and are positioned to win ESL One Birmingham 2024 outright. The MENA powerhouse secured the top seed in Groups with a 6-4 (1-4-0) record and is dead-set on going all the way. However, there are some concerns regarding their consistency after drawing several matches.
Despite these reservations, the team boasts a star-studded roster comprising several high-caliber players like skiter, Malr1ne, and ATF. They also have an impressive track record, with victories at BetBoom Dacha Dubai and DreamLeague Season 22, where they defeated BetBoom Team with a 3-0 sweep!
While their synergy and ability to execute game-winning strategies is evident, Team Falcons also boast strong adaptability. This became clear following the absence of their main carry, Malr1ne, due to visa issues. Regardless, the team kept their form with their sub, SumaiL, proving their ability to perform under pressure.
Team Falcons roster:
- Oliver “skiter” Lepko
- Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak
- Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf
- Andreas “Crit-” Nielsen
- Wu “Sneyking” Jingjun
BetBoom Team
BetBoom Team is a strong contender for a top 3 finish. They showcased a dominant performance during the Group Stage with a 6-4 (2-2-1) record, proving their ability to compete at the highest level and the most likely to rival Team Falcons in the Grand Finals.
According to datdota, BetBoom Team leads the tournament with a 63.64% win rate (7-4), backed by strong historical performance, including top 3 placements at Tier 1 Dota 2 events. It is worth noting that the Russian juggernaut was fined with a Level 2 Draft Penalty for bug abuse in a match against G2 x iG.
However, the team managed to defy expectations of a loss and secured a spot in the upper bracket. This resilience is a testament to their ability to adapt and overcome adversity, further bolstering their chances of victory.
BetBoom roster:
- Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko
- Danil “gpk” Skutin
- Matvey “MieRo`”Vasyunin
- Vitalie “‘Save-” Melnic
- Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek
Xtreme Gaming
Xtreme Gaming enters ESL One Birmingham 2024 as a bit of a dark horse, having narrowly missed an upper bracket seed in the Group Stage with a 5-5 (2-1-2) record. Despite this setback, the team boasts the third-highest win rate in the tournament (7-5, 58.33%), showcasing their potential to make a deep run in the lower bracket.
However, the Chinese team’s performance has been a mixed bag. While they have showcased moments of sheer dominance reminiscent of their 3-1 win over Team Falcons at Elite League, Xtreme Gaming has also been marred by many setbacks and challenges during the tournament.
The key to their success rests not only on the team’s ability to maintain focus but also on addressing the weaknesses currently holding them down. That aside, we know this is a bold prediction, so only time will tell if Xtreme Gaming can shake off their losses and return to peak form.
Xtreme Gaming roster:
- Wang “Ame” Chunyu
- Guo “Xm” Hongcheng
- Lin “Xxs” Jing
- Zhao “XinQ” Zixing
- Ding “Dy” Cong
Note: Other potential dark horses capable of having upsets at ESL One Birmingham 2024 include Tundra Esports, OG, and Team Liquid.
