Our Predictions For TWC EU Qualifier 2
Sparks flew at the TWC EU Qualifier 1 in April, where BLEED Esports impressed and shocked fans with their incredible plays to secure their spot at the Main Event and $20,000 in prize money, while Gaimin Gladiator limped away in second place, earning $5,000 for their efforts.
The first European qualifier showcased how difficult it is to predict a winner, but that’s not stopping us from rising to the challenge. You’ll find our top four TWC EU Qualifier 2 predictions below!
Please note: Readers should never interpret this analysis as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly! Our TWC 2024 EU Qualifier 2 predictions are based on the most up-to-date data on team and player form, taking stats, matchup histories, and HLTV rankings into consideration. We further examine the EU Qualifier 1 team performance where applicable and sprinkle in the author’s expert opinion.
Fnatic
With a 67.7% win rate in the past three months and ranked 23rd globally, Fnatic is one of the strongest contenders at the TWC EU Qualifier 2. Legendary Swedish support rifler KRIMZ glows with experience as a two-time Major winner, and the addition of Danish lurker blameF in May added enough firepower to propel Fnatic to new heights.
The team certainly appears on form following solid performances at the IEM Rio European Open Qualifier. Can Fnatic repeat their success? We can’t wait to find out!
fnatic roster:
- Benjamin “blameF” Bremer
- Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson
- Aurélien “afro” Drapier
- Matúš “matys” Šimko
- Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro (IGL)
- Jamie “keita” Hall (Coach)
OG
OG’s top-four finish is our bold prediction for the event. The squad is ranked 48th, but there’s been a steady improvement in form. OG performed incredibly against HEROIC at the BLAST Fall Showdown 2024 on Aug. 21, winning 2-0 and setting the stage ablaze with their fast-paced strategies.
They’ve made some big moves lately, too. The team recently added young Danish rifler Chr1zN as the IGL and they picked up Buzz from Entropiq.
OG roster:
- Maciej “F1KU” Miklas
- Bram “Nexius” Campana
- Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo” Mirea
- Christian Møss “Buzz” Andersen
- Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard (IGL)
- Lambert “Lambert” Prigent (Coach)
ENCE
ENCE didn’t make it through the first European qualifier, getting snuffed out early on by AMKAL Esports. Some may consider AMKAL Esports sweeping ENCE a fluke, and the EU Qualifier 2 could be the start of ENCE’s redemption arc.
After all, the squad is still one of the favorites to earn a podium finish and is ranked 26th globally heading into the event. If gla1ve can rally the troops and Ukrainian star “somedieyoung” is playing well, ENCE can potentially win this event.
ENCE roster:
- Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev
- Paavo “podi” Heiskanen
- Krzysztof “Goofy” Górski
- Kacper “Kylar” Walukiewicz
- Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander (IGL)
- Jakub “kuben” Gurczyński (Coach)
BetBoom Team
Boasting a 75% win rate in the past three months, BetBoom Team is the squad to beat at TWC EU Qualifier 2. As the highest-ranked team (22nd globally), the young Russian side is packed with talent.
Thanks to direct invites to BetBoom Dacha Belgrade events, they continue to gain experience against top-tier opposition. With solid form from most players, including AWPer zorte, BetBoom Team is primed for success.
BetBoom Team roster:
- Pavel “s1ren” Ogloblin
- Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko
- Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin
- Kirill “Magnojez” Rodnov
- Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov (IGL)
- Artyom “RAiLWAY” Gradovich (Coach)
For those curious about some alternative picks, we want to shout out Gaimin Gladiators, Cloud9, AMKAL Esports, Monte, and GamerLegion. The tournament is stacked with solid teams, and they all have a chance at success.
The Final Countdown To The TWC Main Event
As we’ve mentioned, the EU Qualifier 2 is the final step toward the TWC Main Event in October, and we couldn’t be more excited to see how everything shakes out. Will BetBoom continue their hot streak or will Fnatic make a run for the gold? And what about the underdogs like OG? It feels like it’s anyone’s game in this tournament, and that goes double for times like these when you have such a stacked group of teams competing. We’ll see you in the Twitch streams!
