Eternal Fire’s History
Eternal Fire was founded on Aug. 13, 2021 by Furkan “1NCON” Güven with a vision to “create a sustainable culture of sportsmanship and success.” Initially established as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team, Eternal Fire featured a lineup comprising Turkish stars woxic, XANTARES, Calyx, and imoRR, as well as Jordanian player ISSAA.
Within months of its formation, Eternal Fire already began to make waves in the European CS:GO scene. However, like many new teams, they struggled with cohesion and consistency. This led to an upset at the Antwerp Major 2022 when they failed to advance to the Playoffs, which provoked a chain reaction of roster changes through 2023.
Despite these challenges, Eternal Fire persevered and became a powerful force on the CS:GO and CS2 global stage over time, evidenced by their qualification for numerous Tier 1 events. By 2023, the Turkish powerhouse ambitiously expanded to League of Legends and VALORANT, albeit without replicating the same level of success as in Counter-Strike.
